The comeback of John Dramani Mahama is hanging on a very thin thread after the Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC) brought out the latest statistics as regards the ongoing voters registration.

In a new update, a total of 15,117,438 Ghanaians have been registered but the number of registered voters in the Volta Region which is the NDC’s stronghold compared to that of the Ashanti Region which is the ‘bank’ of the NPP, it shows that there’s indeed much headache for the Mahama and his team.

As you can clearly see, the Volta Region which is the only reliable region where NDC gets overwhelming votes looks crumbled, looking at the number of registrants as compared to that of the Ashanti Region. We don’t know if John Dramani Mahama has other plans under his sleeves and whether he can convince other regions to back him to wrestle power from Nana Akufo Addo but from the foregoing, this is a huge setback for the NDC if you ask me.
Although the registration has not come to an end, the trend in the Volta Region doesn’t look good for the NDC albeit we can’t fully use this as a barometer to measure the outcome of the election.
