Ghana’s vice-president, Dr. Mahumud Bawumia in a recent submission has revealed that very soon all Senior High Schools and Universities across the country will have free access to the internet.
He announced that the government will later this year begin the piloting of a free Wi-Fi policy for universities and senior high schools.
He made this known when he joined the youth of Ghana to celebrate the 2019 International Youth Day (IYD) under the auspices of the National Youth Authority at the Anagkazo Bible School in Mampong, Eastern Region.
He noted that the government wants to reward the Ghanaian youth for their immense contribution to the development of the country and it was only right for the government to show greater commitment.
He also indicated that the government has demonstrated, through the introduction and implementation of innovative policies, to transform the education system and make it more accessible to the young people.
“We will continue the path of helping the Ghanaian youth in diverse ways to make life in Ghana better for them,” he stated.
