Twitter users recently slammed singer Simphiwe Dana for telling a tweep to ‘get a job’ in a heated debate, and the singer has taken to her social media account to apologize for her comment.

It all started when the singer and Lebo Mashile weighed in on a discussion about Gender-based violence on Twitter. Lebo Mashile was criticized by some fans for being a ‘rape apologist’ which led Simphiwe to clap back at her defense. The singers slammed the tweep to ‘get a job’ and that didn’t go down well with many fans and the singer has come out to apologize for her initial comment.

Taking to her Twitter account the singer wrote: “I’m not wrong for being mad at Ree. I do see how I rubbed people the wrong way with the unemployment tweet. And for that I’m sorry. it’s difficult to single out one person without others feeling attacked. I’m unemployed myself. I don’t attack my would be employers for no reason.”
