Award-winning singer and songwriter Simphiwe Dana has hit out at the government for not supporting small scale businesses.
The singer who indicated recently that she is unemployed took to her Twitter account to show her disappointment towards the government for only supporting big businesses and ignoring those in the small scale-sector, including herself.
She disclosed that she has a small business herself, but for people like her to get assistance from the government, they have to work to make their business a big company, which is almost impossible considering the source of funding for existing big businesses.
Taking to her Twitter account the ‘Bamako’ hitmaker wrote: “We have businesses ourselves. However small. But to get assistance from government we have to work for big business. And we know the roots/ origins of these big businesses.”
