In the wake of the opening of the Kumasi Kejetia Bus Terminal, some soldiers and police officers has taken the law into their hands to whip traders and drivers who makes their work difficult for them.
Reports reaching us indicates that this latest development which has just began appears to have been institutionalized by the Mayor of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, Hon Osei Assibey Antwi who deployed them.

In Angel Fm’s news as monitored by ghgossip.com, offending taxi drivers who fall foul to the measures put in place by the security personnel, are made to lie bareback on the bonnets of their vehicles while the soldiers whip them with twined copper wires.
A taxi driver who gave his side of the story narrated that a soldier with service name, “Ampiah”, gave him a whipping of his life for stopping in front of the Bantamahene’s Palace to pick a passenger, bruising his back in the process.

Meanwhile, some women have also been complaining about military brutalities and have called on the KMA to withdraw them into their barracks.
