Reports reaching us indicate that, three staunch members and activists of the ruling government, New Patriotic Party, have been arrested by the police due to the fact that they had NIA registration materials in their possession.
Per the reports, these three identified as Daniel Holali Dagah, an activist of the NPP and aspiring assemblyman for the area, Saliu who is also the NPP Secretary for the Old Fadama Electoral Area and one other are currently in police custody.
They were arrested by some young guys who were led by the NDC branch Chairman for area, Wusama Yakubu while they were actively filling the NIA registration and Oath forms for some persons at a private facility.
When these young guys arrived at the facility, with the Deputy National Organizer of the Opposition NDC, Chief Hamilton Biney Nixon present, the James Town Police were called in to arrest the culprits.
When confronted by the police how they got these NIA materials, they disclosed that one NIA monitoring officer for the Ashiedu Keteke Sub-metro as the one who released the documents to them.
