Madam Elsie Evelyn Avemegah, the mother of Shatta Wale has disclosed that two of Ghana’s best Dancehall artistes, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale are related by. Yes, you READ right- Stonebwoy is Shatta Wale’s uncle.
Madam Elsie made this disclosure on Peace FM when the ace journalist and presenter Kwasi Aboagye hosted mothers of some Ghanaian celebrities ahead of the Mother’s Day celebration on his show, ‘Entertainment Review.’
She told Akwasi Aboagye that she always feel sad when the two celebrated artistes engage war of words and battle each other for supremacy in the game, because they are brothers from the Ahiableh’s Family in Volta Region of Ghana.
Explaining the relationship between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy, Madam Avemegah said Stonebwoy’s mother is her auntie from the same family hence the two heavyweights in Dancehall music are cousins.
She recounted that years ago when Stonebwoy often comes to their house, she mentioned to him that he and her son are cousins, a family, but they never believed, thinking is one of those things.
