Stonebwoy Thought I Had Done Due Diligence, Sought Permission With Rotimi Before Releasing My Song

Highly Spiritual label signee, Mr. Drew released a new song with Stonebwoy titled, Eat not too long ago. YouTube took the video down after Rotimi’s record label, EMPIRE made copyright infringement claims against Mr Drew’s song.

Well, in an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM, Mr. Drew apologised to Stonebwoy

for denting his image and as well apologised to Rotimi, the orginal owner of the song.

Mr. Drew said,

“From the beginning, I indicated that the Eat song was Rotimi’s Love Riddim cover. It was initially a freestyle. All this time, I tagged Rotimi in the social media posts”

Mr. Drew continued,

“Stonebwoy actually thought my team had done due diligence, as in sought permission for “Eat” with Rotimi and his team before releasing the song. I’m sorry to Stonebwoy, and sorry to Rotimi too”

In all this, Mr. Drew is out with a new song featuring Kelvyn Boy
