Former winner of MTN hit maker, Koo Ntakra believes the only way they (up and coming artiste) can make a name for themselves is when the media stop giving attention to Shatta Wale and Sarkodie.

To this end, the rapper has called on Ghanaian media to play their songs more often and relegate that of heavyweights like Sarkodie and Shatta Wale to the background.

He also appealed for a law to be passed to protect their interests. He said when he appeared as a guest on The Late Night Celebrity Show

hosted by Eddy Blay.

He said:

Stop playing songs from Sarkodie and Shatta Wale and play songs by upcoming artiste.

A law should be passed to help the upcoming artiste because before winning MTN hit maker 2, one coca cola was all I got when I performed at weddings or parties.
