Atletico Madrid have signed Luis Suarez from Barcelona on a two-year deal on Friday.
He signed the contract after passing medical in the afternoon. Suarez trained for the first time with his new teammates on the same day.
Suarez is not likely to be in the squad for Atletico’s first game of the season against Granada on Sunday.
The striker’s departure from Barcelona was confirmed on Thursday with a farewell press conference.
He spent six years at the Catalan giants and won 13 titles.
