More than 40 residents of Odugbeho, in Agatu Local Government Area of the Benue State have allegedly been killed by suspected Fulani herdsmen.

It was found that on Sunday night the armed men invaded the community, killed and wounded many residents.

Senator Abah Moro representing the Benue South Senatorial District has confirmed the incident in his statement published on his official Facebook page.

Condemning the attack on his electoral district, the Senator called for an end to the ongoing killings in that area saying “Enough should be enough”.

“I’m deeply saddened by the attack on Odugbeho community in Agatu LGA on Sunday, which claimed over 40 lives of my constituents. This is highly condemnable and very unacceptable.

“For how long will this carnage continue unabated in Benue South? Enough should be enough”, the statement read.

In other news, the youth of Igangan mobilized themselves to resist and gun down some Fulanis who attacked Igangan in the night.

Reports have it that some of them were nabbed and killed, others run for their lives before the youth could organize themselves.
