It would be vividly recalled that ghgossip.com reported last week that two suspected thieves were arrested by the security officers at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

According to a statement released by Korle Bu management, the group’s actions were brought to the notice of security after a tip.

They subsequently set up surveillance, which resulted in the suspects being apprehended at approximately 2 AM on Saturday, May 22.

The statement further revealed that the suspected thieves were arrested on the third floor of the surgical block when they made the attempt to steal several pints of blood that had been mobilized for various surgical procedures.

After their attorneys appealed for bail after their initial hearing, the defendants will return to court on July 12, 2021. The accused were turned up to the Ghana Police Service at Korle Bu, where they would be investigated further.
