After the police received a distress call about some robbery attacks on Monday 6th December, a suspected armed robber was gunned down dead by the police patrol team during a shootout at Tema Golf City.

According to reports, the deceased together with his accomplice engaged in a gunfight with the Golf City Police Motorbike Patrol team resulting in the death of one of the robbers. The suspects were said to be on a motorbike with a registration number covered with a black polythene bag.
One Samsung 412 mobile phone, one Nokia keypad phone, GH10,00, and one black pistol were discovered during a search of the deceased.
Meanwhile, the deceased’s body has been deposited at the Tema General Hospital, where it will be identified and autopsied.
A manhunt has also been launched for the second suspect, who is said to be limping on one leg.
