Nigerian Internet fraudsters ‘Yahoo Boys’ have boldly taken over the streets of Osogbo-Ilesha expressway to protest against the federal anti-fraud agency.

As the rate of unemployment in Nigeria surges, so does the incapabilities of law enforcement agencies, fraud, and violent crimes have been on the rise in the West Africa country.
A report by Sahara Reporters reveals quite an interesting story about some suspected internet fraudsters, popularly known as ‘Yahoo Boys’ who have blocked the Osogbo-Ilesha Expressway in protest, alleging harassment by the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
The Ibadan zonal office of the EFCC had recently arrested two siblings and six other men suspected to be internet fraudsters in the state.
The suspects, Akinrinmade Adepoju Sunday and Akinrinmade Adeniyi, were arrested in their room and parlor apartment, while also arresting Dennis Oluwamuyiwa, Oni Oluwaseyi, Adeyemo Adeyinka, Aborisade Abayomi, Goodluck Olatayo, and Gbolahan Sodiq.
The protesters on Tuesday, 9th February 2021, stormed the Ilesa West Local Government Secretariat, Ilesa, and made a bonfire on the road, thereby halting the free flow of traffic on the busy road.
