Nigerian singer, Teni originally born Teniola Apata is a songwriter, an entertainer and a singer.
Teni born on December 12, 1992 grew up in Lagos Ekiti to Mr. and Mrs. Apata. Her elder sister Ninola is also a songstress in the Nigerian music industry. Teni lost his father to assassin when she was at 2.
She attended Apata Memorial High School and further at American Intercontinental University where she obtained a Degree in Business Administration.
Teni who is currently signed to Dr Dolor Entertainment in 2017 debut her first single ”Amen” with her then-former record label Shizzi’s Magic Fingers Records.
Teni gained recognition after her song ”Fargin” put a spot on her and later hit songs like ”Case”, ”Uyo Meyo” got the world talking about Teniola Apata aka Lagos Sugar Mummy.
In 2018, Teni took home ”Rookie Of The Year” at Headies Awards as well as Nigeria Entertainment Awards’ Most Promising Act To Watch. Soundcity MVP Awards Festival also named her as the Best New Artist in 2018.
Due to her consistency in the Nigerian music industry, Teni is signed to Tomtom, a candy brand producer by Cadbury Nigeria.
Her song writing skills got her to write Davido’s smash hit song ”Like Dat” in 2017.
Teni has two albums, ”The Quarantine Playlist” and ”Billionaire” to her credit.
