The United Kingdom (UK) has warned its citizens in Ghana to be cautions as terrorist attacks are likely to hit Ghana according a viral news published by Citinewsroom.
The report says attacks could be indiscriminate with target areas being places where foreigners visit most.
“Terrorists are likely to try to carry out attacks in Ghana. Attacks could be indiscriminate, including in places visited by foreigners,” the update read. It is estimated that about 90,000 British nationals visit Ghana every year.
This unfortunate news comes at a time that the Canadian government has cautioned its citizens of potential violent crimes in Ghana following the suspected kidnapping of two of its nationals in Kumasi.
A similar warning was issued sometime back following terrorist attack in neighbourhood Burkina Faso. We hope the government of Ghana and security agencies will treat this report with the urgency it deserves and act accordingly.
