Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola has cleared the air on the attack on his convoy by some assassins on Saturday, October 18, 2020.

According to the Governor, the attack was politically motivated but not the EndSARS protestors are its been alleged.
Governor Oyetola convey was attacked in Osogbo, the capital city when he joined the EndSARS protest, leading to the death of two (2) people.

It was alleged that the protesting youth were responsible for the attack as they were demanding a reform in the police service.

The Governor in a statement has said investigations are underway to bring perpetrators to book.
He said, “The attempt which was carried out by political thugs was pre-planned and our government shall investigate the matter with a view of bringing the perpetrators of this heinous act to book.

“As the Chief Security Officer of the state, we shall ensure that lives and properties of our people shall be protected and anybody found culpable of causing unrest shall be made to face the wrath of the law.”
