Veteran highlife musician, Rex Omar has noted that the Ghanaian Highlife genre will never die.

Speaking in an interview on Kumasi-based YFM he indicated that the genre will forever live on because it can never die.
He explained that the love of highlife is an inherent quality of Ghanaians and the day it will die all Ghanaians will also die.

He expressed that Ghanaians did not value the highlife genre so it was rebranded by other countries to us.
