Financial expert and former Bank of Ghana Governor, Dr. Kwabena Duffuor has berated the Vice President of Ghana, Mahammudu Bawumia over the inflated dollar and exchange rate.

Speaking in an interview with GHOne TV, Dr Duffuor bemoaned how the cedi keeps falling at a fast rate against the dollar as compared to when he was in office as the Governor.

He averred that the depreciation in the cedi is a result of Bawumia’s incompetence thus, he has been exposed but the exchange rate in his own words.

“There are challenges obviously, look at the cedi for example, when I was in office [2012] you needed 1 cedi 88 pesewas to get a dollar but now you need 6 cedis 20 pesewas to get a dollar.

Years ago, Dr Bawumia said when the fundamentals are weak the exchange rate will expose you, the exchange has exposed the government now, meaning the fundamentals are weak by Bawumia’s own explanation,” Dr Duffuor said.

Away from this, Nollywood actress, Halima Abubakar has revealed that there are bullies in the film industry, and has threatened to expose all of them.

Her outburst is in reaction to the 12-year-old boy, Sylvester Oromoni of Dowen College, who died following complications including internal bleeding as a result of severe beatings and torture by colleague students.

Taking to her Instagram page, Halima Abubakar called for justice for Sylvester Omoroni and urged parents to talk to their kids as many cases of bullying are hidden.

According to her, Nollywood has bullies and she will name them all. Halima claimed she repeated a semester in BUK because of bullies.
