Popular Nigerian Tv presenter, actor and MC, Uti Nwachukwa, has lashed out angrily on Nigerians as hypocrites who called for the head of Funke Akindele.

Venting his anger on social media, Uti criticised Nigerians, branding them as hypocrites who claim to love you but harbour a lot of hate and pray for the downfall of people. He charged anyone who has honestly abided by the lockdown rule to come forward and prove himself better than the actress, Funke Akindele who is currently held by the police for flouting stay home and social distance rule.
The actor pleaded with the the Lagos state governor to fine Funke and her husband who have already apologised and pleaded guilty of their charges filed against them. He suggested to the governor to fine and release them.

He wrote:
‘#freefunkeakindele .NIGERIA: the same ones screaming I love u! The same ones Begging you for help , the same ones admiring you ARE THE SAME PEOPLE That clamour for your persecution at the slightest misstep.’
