Some music artistes in Ghana have developed skills for altering ‘old’ songs and then making the song theirs. Promising Ghanaian musician, Kuami Eugene is noted for that.
The self-acclaimed #ROCKSTAR has seen huge ‘lambast’ on several occasions for deliberately altering songs.
He does so without the approval of the originator’s of such songs. In a recent interview, Kuami Eugene made some damning statements on why he ‘taps’ lyrics from ‘old’ songs.
“It is about time we get to know that tapping lyrics from other peopleʼs songs isnʼt necessarily theft. It is about creativity. There is nothing new under the sun. I am only tapping from the legends knowledge”, Kuami Eugene said in the interview.
