At a recent ceremony, the Abia State Governor, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu sworn-in three new judges.
During the ceremony, he urged them to ensure the sustainable dispensation of justice in the state.

The judges are Justice Chimezie Nwakanma, Justice Philomena Nweke, and Justice Phoebe Okoronkwo – by the state Solicitor–General and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Justice, Mrs. Uzoamaka Ikonne, at the Government House, Umuahia.

The governor was represented by the Deputy Governor, Ude-Oko Chukwu, and giving his submission, he indicated the need for the three new judges to ensure that the essence of their appointment actualized in the state.
The judges also vowed to ensure that the dispensation of justice in the state was carried out with integrity.
