The government of Togo has confirmed its first case of coronavirus.
The victim is a 42-year-old woman who got affected by the deadly virus after she paid some visits to some countries including Benin, Germany, France, and Turkey between the month of February and March. According to a press release, she has been isolated and receiving treatment after she was diagnosed. Experts have assured that she’s stable at the moment.
The statement released to announce this said; “Togo has been preparing to deal with it [coronavirus],” since the outbreak. It said the country has been “taking active surveillance measures” along its borders.
