Tonto posted on her Instagram page, adding her voice to the viral incident. She noted that today being the birthday of Sylvester will be celebrated by all and sundry. Flowers and gifts will be left at the gate of the school, she added.

“I woke up with so much pain. How do you lose a child in a safe zone and whose birthday is today? Sending love and light to Master Sylvester’s family and loved ones. Happy birthday young champ, we promise you justice. #justiceforslyvester

@dowencollegelagos, we will be leaving flowers and gifts outside your gate. Because today is a child’s birthday that died under your care!

Please, if you are in Lagos, leave a little gift and prayer at the gate of Dowen College. Thanks.”

Meanwhile, following the death of Sylvester Oromoni Junior, a 12-year-old schoolchild, Big Brother Naija star Natasha Akide, also known as Tacha, has added her voice to the events.

Slyvester, who was apparently assaulted by his classmates for refusing to join a cult, was declared dead by his uncle, Perrie, on the microblogging platform Twitter, following a trending video that exposed his condition prior to his death.

Tacha responded by pleading with the authorities to look into the situation and launch an investigation right away.

Tacha went on to say in a video on her Instagram account that it should never be thrown under the rug since anything like this could happen to anyone.

So I just watched the video of that 12-year-old boy that died yesterday, and to be completely honest with you guys, I am devastated. I don’t have energy to do anything.

I just want to know the next cause of actions is. We can’t keep on letting serious issues like this be swept under the carpet. That little boy could have been anybody’s brother here. This case needs to be investigated as soon as possible,” she said.
