The Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) remains the only yardstick that measures the achievements of Ghanaian musicians and as such, it’s held in high esteem by musicians.
Ironically the VGMA’s has been shrouded in lots of controversies over the years and this has been met with backlash from a section of musicians and the general public as a whole.
As the year gradually draws to a closure, musicians will be dropping hot bangers to ensure they get the recognition they deserve come April, 2018.
Ghgossip has complied a list of hit songs which in our estimation, could possibly win awards. Check them out.
Wutah’s Bronya is one of the most played song on urban radio. The duo have demonstrated they are still a force to reckon with after they both went their separate ways and later reunited. Bronya is a sure bet for a VGMA award.
This young chap, a product of MTN Hitmaker is really talented, to say the least. Odo is enjoyed by the young and old, and we believe if he keeps up the good work, he’ll go places.
3. Angela-Kuame Eugene
Kuame Eugene’s is echoing everywhere on the music landscape. His hot tune, Angela one of the most trending songs for the 2017 and beyond.
4. Obi Agye Obi Girl-Captain Planet
This song is highly infectious and if it massive popularity is anything to go by, then he should win a VGMA next year.
5. One Corner-Patapaa
One Corner lacks quality but it’s being enjoyed by lots of people. People would ask questions if it fails to win- for a song that has even spread to neighbouring West African countries, it’s fair that it wins something.
