According to a news item we sighted on mynewsgh.com a bunch of despondent serial callers of the New Patriotic Party based in the Ashanti have declared ‘war’ against the leadership of the party for the untold hardship the party visited on Ghanaians.

The report reveals the group have burned every communication gadget the party has procured for them for communication purposes in defense of government policies and programmes.

They also burnt simcards and used recharge cards they said they bought with their own money.

The group further said after working hard to bring the party to power, only the executives and those on ‘top’ are ‘enjoying.’

“This afternoon, we have gathered our mobile phones the party bought for us and burn them to register our displeasure to party leadership”, spokesperson for the Serial Callers, Wofa Anokye told MyNewsGH.com.

According to the aggrieved volunteer communicators, despite their contributions to the party’s victory in the 2016 polls, over sixty-two of their members are struggling to make ends meet while their regional executives and government appointees in the region are living in comfort and sometimes flaunt cash and goodies they have gotten since the party assumed power.

Later, in an interview monitored on Nhyira FM by MyNewsGh.com reporter in Kumasi, members of the NPP Volunteer Media Communicators also accused the First Regional Vice Chairman of the party, Mr. Kwabena Nsenkyire of disrespecting members in a recent meeting with the party leadership.

“Kwabena Nsenkyire who is also the NADMO Coordinator is telling us that our contribution in the party is minimal and we feel insulted by his comments”, Wofa Anokye spoke to Kofi Asante, host of Nhyira morning show.

They are demanding the party and government to provide them jobs.

They are also calling on President Nana Addo to sack the Ashanti Regional Minister Hon Simon Osei Mensah and Ashanti Regional NADMO Director Kwabena Nsenkyire.

The aggrieved serial callers are in addition to their demand for jobs, demanding an unqualified apology from the party indicating their preparedness to petition President Akufo-Addo  over the development in the party.

“If nothing sensible is heard from the party both in regional and national levels, we won’t mind going to Jubilee House to inform the President about it”, the fumed.

According to them they will suspend their strike only if their demands have been addressed by the party and the government.
