'Once You Say You Love Me, You Already Owe Me Money'

A Nigerian lady has caused instant commotion on the internet when she made this loose statement which has attracted varied interpretations and reactions from social media users.

According to this Twitter user identified as Nneka, once a guy proposes to her, he should be responsible for her upkeep. She added that a man is solely responsible for catering to a woman and her financial needs.

Using herself as an example, she stated that a man is meant to provide for her financially. Responding to a lady who challenged her belief, she revealed that once a man professes love to her, he automatically owes her money.

Nneka’s statement was in response to an earlier thread started by one Lilian who stated that women are naturally expensive and not gold diggers and that men who can’t handle them should stay in their lane.
