The much-anticipated fight between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder came off and Tyson Fury emerged victory after a total knock-out in the seventh round.

The new WBC Heavyweight Champion of the world Tyson Fury, spoke for the first time after his victory over American fighter Deontay Wilder.

Speaking about his win, Tyson Fury expressed his heartfelt gratitude to his God, the Lord Jesus Christ.

It is instructive to note that the British boxer acknowledged his source of strength going into this highly stiff bout.

Speaking to some top journalists on the ring after the fight, he said.

‘First and foremost, I want to say thank you to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, I say those who will bring evil against me will not prosper, I said those who stand in the light cannot come into the light.

All praises be to the one and only True God, Jesus Christ’

Tyson was too much to handle for Deontay as the third and fourth round saw Tyson knockdown Wilder but during the 7th round, Deontay had to throw in the towel following hard and concrete punches by Tyson.

Fury spent some parts of its leaning on Wilder in a neutral corner.

Wilder bled from his left ear with Tyson licking his blood to show his supremacy over the American fighter.
