The University of Cape Coast has opened a new center of learning inside the most popular correctional centre in Ghana, Nsawam Prison.
The campus is to give the inmates who wish to further their education take up diploma courses in various programs offered by the University.
The inaugural matriculation was organized on Saturday 17th January 2020 by the University at the Nsawam prison.
59 inmates took part in the matriculation process to begin their journey to earn a certificate while in prison.
The education being offered by the University of Cape Coast is free of charge.
