Ugandan presidential candidate who is also the oppos ition leader, Bobi Wine has hit one million followers on the popular micro-blogging site, Twitter.
This comes just a day to the polls and according to him, this is a sign of victory and it shows how Ugandans want to remove their current president who they describe as a dictator.
Reacting to his landmark feat, he took to his Twitter handle to write;
“One million followers just before polling day? I think this is also one of the many signs of victory on our side. Yes, #WeAreRemovingADictator”
This year’s election in Uganda has been tensed and one considered to be fiercely contested in the history of country.
Many people have tipped the oppostion leader, Bobi Wine to win as the incumbent, Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni who has been in charge of the country since 1986 is doing everything within his power to win.
The elections will be held on January 14 and it is one that the world will be keeping an eye on.
