Reports coming in say some unknown kidnappers have held a 9-month-old pregnant woman captive at Takoradi and have demanded a ransom for her release.
The pregnant woman identified as Josephine has been reported missing for days only for the kidnappers to call the family to demand money. The pregnant woman is said to have gone for her daily dawn walk on Thursday, September 16 when she was kidnapped by the unknown men.

Reports from Graphic online say that the husband of the woman, Paul Simon reported the case to the police and also revealed that his mother had received a phone call from the kidnappers demanding a ransom.
However, the kidnappers refused to mention an amount and did not also indicate their location. They tried the number of the kidnappers but it was not going through.
On Friday morning, September 17, 2021, the kidnappers placed another call telling the husband that they don’t need the wife again and have been left all by herself at a location. Unfortunately, they did not mention the location they have left her.

The Western Regional Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Olivia Adiku has said that the police are currently investigating to trace the whereabouts of Josephine.
