On April 23rd, 2021, it was reported that a 24-year-old student of the University of Ghana, Legon has jumped from the 4th floor of the Mensah Sabbah Hall Annex “A”.

The authorities arrived at the scene just after the victim, Fuseini Wahab Abdul has been taken to the Legon Hospital for medical treatment.

Fuseini Wahab Abdul was discovered in critical condition and undergoing care at the Legon Hospital according to a team of investigators.

DSP Mrs. Effia Tenge said the squad arrived at the scene and discovered a black patch thought to be tainted by the victim’s blood after he slipped and was injured.

The crime technicians later proceeded to the CID Headquarters to process the scene to assist investigations.

In a recent update on the issue, the Dean and the Hall master were invited by the police to submit their statements to help assist with investigations of the case.

According to reports, Fuseini Wahab Abdul who was receiving treatments at the Legon Hospital has been transferred to the Greater Accra Regional Hospital, Ridge but is still in critical condition.

Also, Sheriff Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mrs Effia Tenge, the Public Relations Officer of the Accra Regional Police Command, said the police had already interrogated several people they named as the victim’s floor and roommates.

However, it is still unknown the main cause of the incident as the statements of his roommates and students at the hall has not yet been revealed.
