Undoubtedly, the Ghanaian comedy arena back in the days was a must watch. With Super OD, Agya Koo, Bob Santo, Bob Okala, Nkomode and others on stage was something you can’t afford to miss.

Well, apparently, things have fallen apart as far as the Ghanaian comedy is a concern. Ghanaian upcoming comedian has, however, apportioned the blame to the Media houses in Ghana.

Comedian named Lekzy Decomic in an interview on Takoradi based YFM without mince stated that he wouldn’t blame anyone for the current bad state of our comedians but rather he will blame the media.

According to him, the media especially the publishers are killing the careers of the comedians because they don’t publish anything good about them.

“We don’t pay publishers to trend our bad news when we have a bad day why can’t they channel the same energy when they do great. This is killing us as comedians and as a country. If we don’t accept our comedians and help them grow who else would?”

“Nobody can tell the Ghanaian Story in a comic way better than Ghanaian comedians so focus on our acts and help us build a solid industry. Just because one Ghanaian comedian didn’t do well on one occasion doesn’t mean all Gh Comedians are bad.
