The prize package for the overall best farmer for the Greater Accra region as the country celebrates farmers across the country has caused an uproar in Ghana especially on social media.
The overall best farmer who is a poultry farmer Assembly received a bicycle, sprayer and assorted items as his rewards for his hard work in this year’s Farmer’s Day Celebration for Accra Metropolitan.
The ceremony to celebrate farmers in this year’s edition was held at the St. Theresa’s School, Accra and the farmer was present accompanied by his wife and children.
Indeed, the prize package for the recipient who has contributed immensely to the growth of the agriculture sector in Ghana has taken Ghanaians aback and have expressed disappointment in the authorities as they allude he deserves more.
