The Speaker of Parliament Prof. Mike Aaron Oquaye has given the communications Minister Mrs. Ursula Ekuful an ultimatum of 48-hours to show up at the Parliament and render account over the amount of money the country has made since contracting Kelni GVG.

This follows after the Communication Minister, Ursula Owusu failed to show up in Parliament for three consecutive times to respond to a question filed by the Ningo Prampram Member of Parliament, Samuel Nartey George on the controversial Kelni GVG deal.

A contract of $89 million deal was signed by the Government through the Ministries of Communication and Finance in December 2017 with Kelni GVG Limited.

The Majority Leader, Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu, told the House that he has tried locating the Minister to appear before the House to respond to the question but all efforts have been in vain. However, the Minority Chief Whip, Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak flared up and condemned the conduct of the Minister.

Speaker of Parliament, Prof Mike Oquaye in his last ruling, directed that the Minister appears before the House on Friday to respond to the questions filed by the MP.
