Chief Executive Officer of Charterhouse, Theresa Ayoade who is a member of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) 2020, has for the first time in a long time opened up again on the imposed ban on Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy in subsequent VGMAs.

Madam Theresa Ayoade has stated that the newly instituted VGMA board for 2020 is yet to take a decisi on on the way forward for the two Dancehall giants in Ghana, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale following the abysmal turn of events at VGMA 2019.

She made this announcement at an industry stakeholders meeting at Alisa Hotel in Accra on Thursday, 23rd January, 2019.

“Last year’s incidents threw a damper on our efforts in making the awards ceremony a glamorous one, especially as we were celebrating our 20th anniversary but some actions had been taken to keep the peace after that incident.

“The decision to hand indefinite bans to Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy was taken by the last Board and the newly reconstituted Board are yet to meet to decide on the way forward, but we would announce a decision after our industry stakeholders meeting having gathered insights on the way forward,’’ she said.

The industrious CEO also indulge Ghanaians to take cognizance of the fact that Stonebwoy and Shatta wale’s case is still pending in court therefore the entire issue must be dealt with care.

On the back of what happened at the previous edition, Madam Theresa promised that security will be improved to avert reoccurrence.
