Most decorated Ghana rapper, Michael Owusu also known as Sarkodie has disclosed that his recent nomination for the ‘Artiste of Decade’ category at the Vodafone Music Awards (VGMA) 2019 made him realized his music career started more than a decade ago.
He disclosed this in a recent interview with Rev Erskine host of the ‘Myd Morning’ show on YFM.
“I still feel young and hungry for more and when I was nominated I realised how long I have been in the game and also with those great people also in the nomination list. When I was announced I realise how far my works has gone’’ he said.
Additionally, Sarkodie mentioned Ghanaian actor Agya Koo as his favorite Ghanaian comedian.
Sarkodie also appealed to the organizers of the Music Magic Comedy happening at the International Conference Centre (AICC) which is scheduled to take place on June 29 to allow him to perform first so that he can sit and enjoy the other performances.
‘’ I like magic and comedy but I don’t get the opportunity to enjoy such performances because I usually end the show. This time around let me be the first to perform so I can enjoy the show especially the magic’’ he appealed.
Musicians also mounting the stage with Sarkodie include Wendy Shay, Foster Romanus, Acapella, OB Ampibsah, and Christopher Voncujovi.
MMC LIVE is a superstar entertainment show organized by Global Media Alliance that features renowned performers in music, magic, and comedy on one stage. The show which is in its fourth edition is slated for Saturday 29th of June, 2019 at Accra International Conference Center (AICC).
