The sailors raised their voices up high in unison, chanting his name, “Captain Crozier, Captain Crozier” signifying their disagreement in firing the honest man and hailing him for saving the life of the sailors.

Navy Capt. Brett Crozier, was fired for writing a letter to Navy commanders telling them about coronavirus cases on his ship. According to TMZ, the contents of the letter stated that the Captain was warning the commanders about the state of the ship and it sailors who he didn’t want to lose to the virus. He wrote “Sailors do not need to die” and proceeded asking his crew of 5,000 sailors be removed from the ship to prevent further spread of the virus.

Acting secretary of the Navy, Thomas Modly, who fired Captain Crozier said, the captain expressed “poor judgment” for not safeguarding the info which unfortunately found it way into the media space. Speaking on why the Captain was fired, he said “I lost confidence in his ability to lead that warship as it continues to fight through this virus.”

The Captain was seen walking alone down the gangplank off the USS Theodore Roosevelt whilst his sailors salute and chant his name and applaud him for his display.
