One of the board members of Charterhouse, organisers of the annual Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) George Quaye has said Ghanaians need to commend them for uniting Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale through the ban they imposed on them.

He made this known at a press engagement at Alisa Hotel last week whiles adding that Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale unity is something which has impressed Ghanaians a lot.

“The VGMA board and the entire organization deserve some commendation because trust me, if that punishment that was meted out to those two gentlemen was not meted out, they wouldn’t have come together,” he opines.

“If we appreciate the togetherness, if we love what is happening between the two of them now and we believe that it is genuine, then I think the VGMA board and the people that took the decision deserve a hug. It is that decision that has led to that togetherness.”

Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy were banned after they took their age long rivalry to a different level at the last edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards when they and their fans engaged in a free-for-all fight on live TV whiles the award ceremony was ongoing.
