R2Bees, a Ghanaian music duo made up of Omar Sterling and Mugeez has revealed that awards are mainly given to celebrate a number of musicians, excluding others who also put in the same effort in promoting their crafts.

The BET nominated music duo in 2013 disclosed that they do not care about receiving awards from award schemes or not because all musicians need to be celebrated by Ghanaians.
Speaking in an interview on Okay FM with Abeiku Santana on Ekwansodwodwo, Omar Sterling stated that it is either all musicians are being celebrated on a platform or none of them are celebrated because every artist put in as much effort as others.
He stated that he has never been an advocate of picking just a few people while ignoring the rest who have also worked very hard to achieve their aims in the music industry.
