Popular Hollywood actor, film director, and political activist, Danny Glover, has tasked African-Americans visiting Africa, especially Ghana for the ‘Year of Return’ initiative to bring ideas that will uplift the continent.

The Year of Return marks 400 years after the transatlantic slave trade, and many African-Americans are visiting the continent.

Danny Glover in an interview said, “we are not just citizens of our respective countries, we have to talk about the world and our responsibilities to Africans.”

He labeled his visit to Ghana as an exciting one.

“It’s wonderful a delegation of African American descendants coming to Ghana… It’s an African moment of 400 years and the questions we have to ask right now include the state of Africa. We are not just citizens of our respective countries where we live now. We have to talk about the world and our responsibility to Africa,” he said in the interview.
