So following the ongoing tug of war between gold firm, Menzgold and Bank of Ghana plus Security Exchange Service (SEC), famed Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie has offered his knowledge about banking as a whole to the general public on social media.
Furthermore, the banking sector was hit by dissolution of six banks by the Bank of Ghana because their financial structure was wobbling.
This situation caused fear and panic amongst several customers of the affected banks, who started withdrawing their monies to avoid any ‘technical’ problem.
On that score, Sarkodie, has advised Ghanaians to believe in the local banks in order for them to grow.
In a series of tweets, the rapper asked Ghanaians not to press the alarm button because these banks use our monies to generate more revenue for them therefore there should exercise restraints whilst an amicable solution is reached.

Observing what’s happening inside the banking sector, I think we need a lot more education on how the banks work so we don’t take actions that can collapse our local banks

Banks don’t keep our monies sitting there waiting for us to withdraw they work with it but it’s safe … No need for the panic withdrawals all of a sudden
