A report by GhanaSoccernet.com indicates that Inmates of the Koforidua Prisons are calling on the public to help them with a television set to watch a football matches.
According to the inmates, most of them are die-hard football fans and that is their source of entertainment.
However, their passion for the sport is fading away due to the unavailability of television at the prisons.
Furthermore, the inmates believe getting football matches to watch will reduce the rate of depression at the prisons since the conditions are very appalling.
They made these claims when Prophet Albert Asihene Arjarquah, Head pastor of Omega House Chapel of Assemblies of God Church in Koforidua, as part of his annual visit to the prison, evangelized, dinned with the inmates and made donations of assorted soft drinks, food items and toiletries to the prison.
