Former President John Dramani Mahama has boldly said the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will not be heading to the supreme court to challenge electoral results in 2024.

He noted with concern how the Jean Mensa led Electoral Commission connived with the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) to manipulate the elections to his disadvantage which is why his NDC party will fight for the proper thing to be done at the various elections centres in 2024.

“Elections are won on the grounds, not Supreme Court. Next time we will take due notice of that. We are going to fight and make sure the right things are done,” Mahama said on GBC URA Radio in Upper East Region during his ‘Thank You Tour’ of the region.

In the same vein, an independent presidential aspirant in the 2020 general elections, Mr Kofi Koranteng has minced no words by describing Nana Akufo Addo and the bunch of people he rules the country with as clowns.

He dropped his no-holds-barred comment on Class Television (CTV) saying the numerous corruption perpetrated by the government while on the same wavelength worsening the economic situation in the country forms the basis for his assertion.

He was reacting to the Sputnik V vaccine brouhaha, calling for Health Minister, Kweku Agyeman-Manu to be jailed.

“What we are seeing is a circus because the fundamental problem we have is leadership about which everyone is beating about the bush, Ghana is always bedevilled with scandals. The problem will never be solved by looking at the symptoms,” he began.

“This should not be a conversation. The guy [health minister] should be in jail actually. He should be fired and put in jail. We’ve got clowns [in government]. They are not doing anything for Ghana. They are raping you and you are acquiescing to that. Is that how you want to live?

They’re raping you for God’s sake! he thundered.
