The call for the legalization of weed, popularly called ‘wee’ in Ghana, is getting louder and louder. Ghanaian indigenous musician, King Ayisoba has added an interesting twist to the advocacy. The award-winning artiste says he would rather smoke weed than eat rice because rice does not satisfy him but when he smokes marijuana he feels fine.
Speaking to blogger Nii Attractive, the I Want To See You My Father hitmaker explained that marijuana is a normal herb like maize leaves, millet leaves, sorghum or any other edible herbs which can be consumed as food so far as it does not cause harm to the body.
Weed has several names across the world with the most popularly being Cannabis and marijuana. It’ is a psychoactive drug from the Cannabis plant intended for medical or recreational use.
The main psychoactive part of cannabis is tetrahydrocannabinol (THC); one of 483 known compounds in the plant, including at least 65 other cannabinoids.
Cannabis can be used by smoking, vaporizing, within food, or as an extract.
