Female Afropop and Afrobeat singer and a Rufftown signee Wendy Shay has been seen flaunting all the awards plaques she has received in the space of two years.
Wendy Shay came into limelight after the sudden demise of dance hall queen Ebony Reigns. Wendy Shay has proven to be one of the best and also a strong personality, despite the backlashes she has received from all angles.
In a post sighted on her page, she is seen applauding herself for standing strong irrespective of the disrespect, hatred, abuse, and harassment she has suffered within two years of venturing into the music industry.
Wendy Shay however, has disclosed that she’s more focused, wild like Dancehall Shatta Wale, ambitious like Rap god Sarkodie and tough like Stonebowy.
She laid emphasis on the fact that, she is here to stay forever.
Wendy Shay won the best new artist of the year at Ghana-Naija showbiz and Ghana music Awards SA. She also won music video of the year for her Uber driver track all in 2018. Breakthrough act of the year at 3Music Awards, discovery of the year at the VGMA and new artist of the year at the Ghana’s music awards UK all in 2019.
