Rapper Okyeame Kwame was on Zylofon FM and according to him, when it comes to live performance here is Ghana, Samini is in a class of his own and no musician in Ghana comes close to him.
After the Stonebwoy-Shatta Wale brawl on the VGMAS, Samini was called upon and he managed to save the show to the max. Okyeame Kwame decided to shower some praises on Samini for his control over the live band and dishing out solid performances over the years, he said,
“If you are honest to yourself, when it comes to live band and stage performance in Ghana, no musician comes close to Samin. Everyone in Ghana knows this for a fact.”
When asked on Zylofon FM what he made of the VGMAS board banning his brothers from the scheme, he said,
“There is something i like about the ban- there is no date on it, so upon good behaviour, VGMAS board will take them back. If after 2 years they still didn’t call them back to join the scheme, then i would termed it as harsh.”
He continued, “The ban was deserving. With how the news was fast spreading in the International world, and how the outside media was on our case, there has to be some punitive measures, and so, the organizers did that so as to reduce the quick-spread of the incident, and to let the World know that we have laws in Ghana’.
