In a related development, Wizkid’s ‘Made In Lagos’ is still making giant strides globally and the latest feat it has chalked is equally phenomenal.
The Afrobeat powerhouse, whose real name is Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun is now on par with his late compatriot Fela Anikulapo Kuti as far as a billboard chart is concerned.
Made In Lagos album has now equaled Fela’s, ‘The Best Of The Black President’ as the longest-running album on Billboard World Albums Chart, spending a total of 45 weeks on the chart.
Fela has his moment with The Black President compilation which he released in 1999 as a posthumous album. The Best of Fela Kuti is a 2-CD compilation album released by MCA Records. It dropped in the United States in 2000 as part of a reissue series of Kuti’s albums.
