There has been a massive shakedown in the Nigerian music industry concerning artistes going at each other’s throat, fighting for supremacy, fall out between record labels and artiste, among others.

One particular controversy that got our attention was the beef between Davido and Burna Boy. The self acclaimed African Giant went berserk after the DMW boss, Davido hailed himself and Starboy Wizkid as the “2 Greatest Artiste ” in Africa. Burna took offense from the post and lashed out on Davido, downplaying his success, saying his father bought it for him.

Well M.I and Naeto C disagreed with Burna. The two great legends believe Davido is from a rich home but his success in music transcends his fathers wealth. According to them, Davido’s hardwork and dertermination has contributed to his success in music.

The trio have done a wonderful job with their craft as they have been globally recognized and accepted by music lovers across the world. Over the years, there has been argument on who is the best among the trio, musically.

Wizkid, is believed to be the well composed artiste between the trio. Not much is seen of the ‘socco’ hitmaker on social media as his colleagues but he serves his fans with good music every now and then. The singer has kept a good low profile and releases timesless afrobeat hit songs as it is expected of him in his forthcoming ‘Made In Lagos Album’. He is the most sought after artistic product of the motherland.

The 30 Billion Gang man, Davido, the ever vibrant artiste to grace the music industry is one whose name cannot be left out when naming industry and afrobeat players. Irrespective of the fact that he grew up from a rich home, he has lived up to his name with his output in music. Month ago, his songs went platinum in America and hit most billboard charts around the continent. OBO has a track record of producing good music. It is no surprise that his AGT album went platinum in South Africa. The singer has hinted on another classic album which features top international artiste such as Nicki Minaj, the late Pop Smoke, Tiwa Savage and Mugeez of Ghanaian group, R2BEES.

Oluwa Burna Boy, the self acclaimed ‘African Giant’ cannot go unrecognized as he is a force to reckon with in Nigerian music. Burna effortlessly crept into the scene with blistering performance and music but many doubt his effort. He is mostly criticised to be more of a sampler of music. Not only do music lovers see him to be proud, arrogant and disrespectful, he is tagged as a lazy artiste who samples songs of the legendary Fela Kuti who happens to be his idol. Regardless the hate given him, his efforts were recognized by the Grammys as he was nominated in it 62nd award show but lost to fellow African and legendary Angelina Kidjoe. However, his African Giant Album which earned him the nomination has moved on to become one of the best afrobeat albums produced in Africa.

All of this and many more make these three stand out in their art, but the question remains, WHO IS THE GREATEST TO EVER DO IT?, taking into consideration their music, performances, and relationship with fans.
