Elsewhere, Sean Kuti has backed Shatta Wale’s infamous outburst aimed at Nigerians shortly after he sold out the Accra Sports stadium during his Christmas concert dubbed Freedom Wave.

Shatta Wale infamously slammed Nigerian artistes and all players of the Nigerian music industry wrapped in obscenities for doing little to promote Ghana music and their artistes in their country whereas they receive massive love here in Ghana.

Although the storm circling around Wale’s controversial statement which caused a tsunami on the Ghanaian and Nigerian section of the social media has waned, Seun has recently shared his opinion on it saying there’s nothing wrong with what the Ghanaian Dancehall artiste said.

He however pointed out that Wale did not articulate his speech the way it should have been propagated to achieve the result he wanted. Kuti took to social media to say;

Shatta Wale has a point, but he didn’t know how to articulate it. Beyonce for instance gets more airplay in Nigeria than my dad, Fela, not to talk of me. It isn’t about us Africans. It’s the ¡mperialists who have control over these things. We’re óppressed on our very own soil.
